Terms of Service

Last updated: September 13, 2026

Grind is operated by Andrew Lacelle and Michael Ambra. Our mailing address is 295 Queen Street, Kingston, ON K7K 1B7, Canada. These terms describe the website waitlist and use of the Grind beta app. Contact us at founders@grindapp.fit.

1. Eligibility and your account

Grind’s initial beta is offered to residents of Canada and the United States aged 13 or older. If you are a teen, ask a parent or guardian for help understanding these terms. Obtain their permission where applicable law requires it. Do not use Grind if you are under 13 or cannot validly agree to these terms.

When creating or continuing an app account, you are asked to accept these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Provide accurate account information, keep login details secure and tell us if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. The website waitlist

Joining the waitlist requests a confirmation and beta availability updates. It does not create an app account or guarantee admission, a release date or particular features. You can stop the emails by replying “unsubscribe” or emailing founders@grindapp.fit. Joining the waitlist does not authorize unrelated marketing.

3. Beta availability

Grind is in development. Features may change or become unavailable, and errors or data loss can occur. Keep your own copy of important training records. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that a beta feature will remain in the released app.

4. Your content and visibility

You retain the rights you have in your workouts and other content. You give Grind a non-exclusive permission to store, process, reproduce and display that content as needed to operate the service and its sharing features. This permission does not transfer ownership or permit us to sell your content for unrelated use. It ends when the content is removed from the service, subject to the limited retention described in our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Post only material you have the right to share. Profiles, social activity and leaderboards have different audiences; some information is visible beyond your followers. Review the Privacy Policy and available settings before posting. Other people may retain copies of information they have already seen.

5. Acceptable use and reports

Use the app's report and block features or email founders@grindapp.fit to report a problem. We may remove content or restrict access to address violations, safety issues or legal requirements. Contact us if you believe a moderation decision was mistaken.

6. Fitness information

Grind provides workout logging and general fitness information. Its scores and calculations are estimates, not medical advice, individualized professional advice or certified competition results. Make training decisions appropriate to your circumstances and seek qualified advice where needed. Do not attempt a lift merely to improve an app score.

7. Ending use and deleting your account

You may stop using Grind and request account deletion in Settings. Suspension is different from deletion and does not automatically erase records. The Privacy Policy explains deletion limits and the separate waitlist removal process. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or when necessary to protect the service or comply with law.

8. Warranties and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided as available, without additional promises of availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies, consumer protections or liabilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

9. Changes to these terms

We will update the date and version when these terms change, provide appropriate notice of material changes and request renewed acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have. You can stop using the service if you do not agree to a change.
